Construction

Swivel Section:  Cold-forged from 1/4″ steel, the swivel section includes heavy-duty, double-row ball bearings on smooth raceways. Raceways are not always precision-machined or heat-treated.
Arms:  Formed 1/4″ steel for strength.
Kingpin:  5/8″ diameter kingpin.
Axle:  1/2″ diameter.
Wheel Diameter:  4 – 8 inches.
Wheel Width:  1.5 – 2 inches.
Overall Height:  5.63 – 9.5 inches.
Swivel Section Extension:  1.38 – 2.38 inches.

Overview

The medium-duty line of 30 Series casters is designed and manufactured for loads in the 215-250 kg range. This line provides users with a strong caster at a lower price. Load capacities will depend largely on the specific wheel used in the application. Most casters  are made of lightweight polyurethane ,  phenolic resin , injection-molded rubber, pneumatic tires, or  molded rubber .

Applications

Excellent for dollies, waste carts, warehouse carts, proofing or cooling racks, portable workbenches, floor carts, workshop carts, masonry platforms, trailer frames, shelving units, toolboxes, laundry distribution carts, hand-held lifting devices, dairy distribution carts, and other medium-duty applications. The medium-duty wheel line is designed and built for manual applications and should not be used in powder applications.

Options

Common options include a variety of brakes, including cam brakes and tread-lock brakes. Swivel locks can be factory-installed or field-installed. Toe guards can also be included.
